Family Pictures

As I mentioned in an earlier post when we went to College Station my former 4th grade teacher took some pictures of the family. She has started back up her photography business now out of CS. The pictures turned out so cute that I wanted to share and I wanted to share her site because she is a great photographer!! Go to http://www.kkastnerphotography.com If you scroll through the galleries found at the bottom of the page there is a picture of the kids under families and there is a picture of our entire family under Aggies. If you want to see all of the pics you can go to online ordering and use aggie as the password. Hope you enjoy!

We love where we live plus a Case update

Case will be 11 weeks tomorrow. His new trick is sucking on his hands. Here is a picture from yesterday and he was just hanging out while we hung out at Mamaw and Papaws and the girls were swimming in the hot tub. He loves to smile and try to "talk" when you talk to him. He has gone from pooping all the time to hardly ever so I am not sure what that is all about but I am not complaining! He also never sits still. If he is awake his legs, arms, hands, feet, etc are moving. He must have somewhere he wants to be! He is sleeping really well, only waking once a night. The girls continue to love on him and are great. Morgan loves her "Caser Pot" as she calls him. We are so lucky that he has been such a good baby thus far.

As I said in my title, we love where we live. The Woodlands is such an amazing place. You feel like you are on vacation in your own backyard. On Wednesdays they have free concerts in what is called Waterway Square. The fountain simulates that of the Bellagio(much smaller scale) but set to music, etc. There are also little fountains that the kids can play in. There is a band that plays and you can bring your own food and drinks(yes liquor included)! This past week there was a Blues Brothers tribute band playing so we grabbed Freebirds(now in the Woodlands :) and had a picnic at the concert.

Here is a video I took awhile ago. I think Case was 7 weeks at this time. I meant to download but just got around to it. He is cooing and I caught some of his smiles.

Gig 'Em Aggies, WHOOP!

I survived my first week back at school and capped it off with a great weekend. On Friday we headed to College Station for the Aggie Letterman's Reunion. We stayed with some of our best friends The McKinneys. A sitter came Friday night for all the kiddos(6 to be exact) so we could attend the reception held for the former letterman. I know Lonnie enjoyed seeing some of his old teammates. After the reception Paige and I stopped by the house to check on the kids. Case was hungry and crying for mom so we picked him up to give the sitter some relief and met the guys out for dinner. It's always a nice break to have some adult conversation. Saturday morning we got up and kind of all did our own thing until the Letterman BBQ. I got to see my former 4th grade teacher whom I still stay in contact with and now lives in CS. She also used to be a photographer so she was kind enough to take pics of the kids in the bluebonnets and some of us as a family. I will post when I get them!!

When we finished our visit we headed to the BBQ. I always tease Lonnie and say that I live vicariously through his alumni status at A&M. Don't get me wrong, I love being a Mustang but A&M has such awesome traditions and the fact Lonnie played football there gives us a lot of unique opportunities at the University. We met back up with The McKinneys and were joined by our other "besties", The Perronis. Lonnie, Seth(McKinney) and Evan(Perroni) all played together and were at one time or maybe twice, roommates. Paige(McKinney) and Jennifer(Perroni) have both been blessings in my life as great friends. We are so fortunate that we have grown as friends and as families and our kids- 8 now, have so much fun together.

Here is the gang minus Case(9 weeks) who slept the entire BBQ and Maroon & White game. Isabella p.(2)Hannah m,(3) Abigail m,(5) Morgan m,(3) Kate m,(7) Mallory m(5) and Hudson P.(5) Hud is one lucky boy or at least that is what Evan would tell him!!

After the BBQ we walked over to Kyle Field for the spring game. We got to go down to the field and sat underneath the jumbo-tron. Every time some one would score, the cannon would sound. The kids were preparing!

Case taking it in. Unfortunately you can't see his cute Aggie shirt that Karen gave him. So handsome :)

Jenn and Bella
Morgan and her daddy. The kids were great considering it was hot and at a football game. A little after halftime we headed back to the McKinney's where everyone got to jump on the trampoline and play some more. We ate dinner, which went surprisingly well with all of our kids, and headed back home.

I had to laugh when I thought that it all started with 3 teammates who were good friends. They then became 6 when they married us and now we have become 14 with all of our kids. How time changes from our college days!

2 months, Back to work, Kindergarten here we come

On Friday, April 9th Case celebrated turning 2 months by going to the Doctor. He weighed 11 10.5 lbs and was 23.5 inches(he has already grown 2 1/2 inches!) He was 51% in weight and 75% in height. I compared his "stats" to the girls and he weighed less than Mallory, more than Morgan and was taller than both. He had three shots which are so awful to watch but he was pretty tough. Here is a picture of him passed out on my bed. He is not as big as the jammies make him look. He is too long for the little sizes but not quite filled out for the next size. I always say he has quite the wing span.

Unfortunately 2 months also marked my return to work. On Monday I woke up at 5:00, got myself ready; fed Case, fed myself. Woke up girls; got girls dressed, fixed girl's hair. Loaded up the car, dropped off Morgan, dropped off Case, dropped of Mallory. Went to work! Needless to say I have been a tad bit tired this week. Luckily mammy(my mom) is watching Case so I feel very good knowing he is with her all day.

I haven't had any pics of all three kiddos together yet so I tried to get a few. Morgan likes to call Case...Caser.

I wonder what Case would be saying here if he could talk....HELP!

I was on my way home from a baby shower and Lonnie said the girls wanted to know if they could play in my closet. Below is their "ensembles" I was quite impressed with their color coordiation.

This week seemed full of big events. On Tuesday I registered Mallory for kindergarten and Lonnie and I attended an information meeting that night. I can't believe she will be going to school next year. She has started to read and I think there are so many things she is going to love about school. The funniest part about the meeting is that Lonnie and I seemed like the youngest parents there. Of course we also said it could be we are getting a lot older than we think we are! Morgan is enjoying her school too. She finished up dance lessons and has begun cooking classes. She always likes to help me in the kitchen and so far her class has made deviled eggs, pizza, and peanut butter dipped pretzels.

We are enjoying the beautiful spring weather and hope it lasts!

Hoppy Easter!

As I mentioned before Easter is one of my favorite holidays. I love everything about it and this year was no different. On Good Friday we were pretty lazy and just enjoyed the day around the house. We did practice some Easter egg hunting in the backyard which was lots of fun. Daddy and I hid them and the girls found them, then they hid from each other then they hid them for us. It was a challenge coming up with new places! On Saturday I went to strollerfit and was so glad my friends Karen and Stacey came for the second day, sore and all! Janna, one of my other best friends, instructed class and it was a lot of fun. I took the girls with me and Mallory did most of the workout :) Saturday afternoon we went to our church service which was great. I love the Easter services. After church we went to Landry's(yummy) with my mom and dad and enjoyed sitting outside and the spring weather. Easter Sunday we had planned to have the fam over but our upstairs AC has been out for about a month- until the last few days we didn't really need it but when the 80 temps rolled in it was a bit too hot so we headed to my in laws. Before we went however the Easer bunny had dropped by so the girls went hunting about 7:00 in their jammies. Unfortunately no pic :( but he did bring swimsuits, flip flops and other goodies in their baskets.

On the way to the in laws, we picked up breakfast tacos from Taco Cabana, added some fruit salad(thanks Sarah T) and yummy eclairs and had a great Easter breakfast. The Easter bunny had hidden real eggs and Mamaws so the girls hunted those too. It is a tradition to have "egg fights" at my in laws so the idea is to hit your egg against someone else's and whoever's cracks loses. Mallory was all about this game. Not quite sure where she gets her competitive spirit. Papaw of course tried to cheat but Mallory figured it out. After the egg wars the girls got to go in the hot tub and nicely wore themselves out. It was a wonderful Easter with our family. We are so blessed to be close to both our parents both in location and how we feel about them. God is good!!
