Real life wax museum

In honor of Black History Month, Mallory was assigned a famous African American in which she had to research, write & memorize a biography and participate in a mock wax museum.

She was Mae Jemison the first African American admitted into the space program.

-Morgan's teacher let her go hear Mal's performance.

Case turns 3

To celebrate Case turning 3 we hosted a birthday party at the house.  We crossed our fingers that the weather would be okay (as you never know in February) and as luck would have it the party was a great success.

Since I have a slight obsession with Pinterest :) I tried to duplicate a few decorations(Case flag)

This cake stand was made by my BFF college roomie's husband.  It looked so good with all the cupcakes(which I got at Sam's- they were cheap and delicious!!).

I LOVE having a big backyard!!!!

Our good friends own a few bounce houses and were nice enough to let us borrow one.  I wish I could have gotten a picture of everyone but it was a little chaotic with all the playing going on.

Unfortunately the birthday boy was not in the best mood for his party but I think he liked his cupcake!

Oooh this icing is so yummy

What a face!

Case finally got in a better mood when he got to play with his "girlfriend" Abby

The Ellen family

Case and his buddy Cooper

Mammy and Papa Marc showing Case his new clubs

My handsome little man

Pizza, pizza
I also made 3 new recipes for the party that I got off of Pinterest(wish I had taken pics) I will be sure to post later because they were AH-M-AZING!

The Perroni and McKinney crews stayed the night for one big slumber party

After the party we had a sitter and the mommy's and daddy's went out for a bit.

Thank you to all our friends and family for helping us celebrate Case's birthday.  Here are some fun facts about Case at 3:
*Case has a huge vocabulary and talks all the time, all the time!
*Case's favorite meal is breakfast, often eating it twice a day- does not like veggies of any sort at this moment and will gag on them when he tries them- on purpose
*Case is totally potty trained!!!  He wears a pull up at night but so far it has been dry 90% of the time
*Case loves his sisters.  Mallory takes care of him and Morgan loves on and or annoys him
*Case is still a momma's boy and I LOVE it!
*Case sleeps in a toddler bed and most mornings(extremely early) he sneaks in our bed and cuddles with mom

Happy Birthday Caser!

Mallory's baptism

Mallory asked me recently if she could get baptized. At our church they teach that they want it to be an individual decision when you think you are ready to put God first and follow Him. She is very spiritual, reads her kids Bible daily, prays with mom, etc so I told her we would talk with the children's pastor.

YouTube Video

After correctly answering all the pastor's questions(tears in my eyes) he said he thought she was ready so the next weekend Mal was baptized. I am so proud of her & my hope is she will always have God to turn to no matter what.

No more diapers????

I wouldn't believe it if I wrote the story myself but Case Patrick is officially potty trained and in all honesty without any help from mom!!

About a month ago, he had gone #2 a few times in the potty so I went ahead and bought some underwear in the event he would start to show some more interest. Well out of the blue last weekend he said I need to pee-pee, I go in potty, no more diapers! So off he went & has not looked back.

There is something so stinking cute about a little guy in whitey-tighteys!!

I am so proud of Caser and can not believe my diaper changing days are over, it's been 8 years people!!! Hallelujah!
