A Shout Out

I want to give a shout out to my 2012 volleyball team.  We start playoffs tonight and so far we have had a great season.  We are currently 33-2 and went undefeated in district play, 12-0.  The team is made up of 3 seniors, 7 juniors and 2 sophomores.  They have been a great group and I hope they have a great playoff run as they deserve it.

We have a theme practice once a week.  Above was colors by grade

Throwback theme!  They wore stuff they had from when they first started playing volleyball

Twins Day....these are just a few of the themes, will need to upload more to show their funny personalities

"The harder you work, the harder it is to surrender" Vince Lombardi

That is our theme this year but we always live by, Life is short, HAVE FUN!!!!

All of our playoff matches will be broadcast online so if you want to follow us just go to our website at http://www.twhvolleyball.com and you can get to the link from there

Story Book Parade

Mallory and Morgan's school has an annual story book parade where the students choose a character from a book to dress up as(I think their way of letting the kids dress up for Halloween).  I had this really cute idea that Mallory could use Lonnie's football stuff to dress up like the little boy in a book we have called "Born to be an Aggie"

Morgan used a historical book on mummies and dressed as Cleopatra

Some of the girl's other friends dressed up

And of course when we were planning the outfits at home, Case had to get in on the action.  More times than not he would choose a pink dress over any of his own clothes......boys with sisters!!

Halloween Fun Pics

The kids got some Halloween jammies so we had an impromptu photo shoot!

 Case was saying "ooohhh scary!"

Scary face

I can't believe my "baby" is getting so big

Case had just gotten his hair cut.  He LOVES getting it cut at Sports Clips where daddy goes.  He is so good and always gets a lollipop(pink of course)

I had to include this pic because it was too cute.  Poor Brynn had a rough week last week and ended up having to get two stitches.  We decided to make her feel better by getting her a new comfy bed....someone else thought it was comfy too ;)

Chapter 6, Part 2

I know a lot of you have been wanting to see the new house so I finally got around to taking some pics!  We have been busy trying to get the house decorated and in order.  I would say we are 95% unpacked and 90% finished on the decorating.  Here is a preview of the entry, dining, kitchen and the kids' rooms.  Part 3 will include the outside of the house, the study, the master and the game room(once those are finished!!)

This view is from the living room looking to the front door.  I love our front door.  I call it my Shrek castle door because you can open a little piece of it that is behind wrought iron to peek out.

Here is the view to the living room

I found these two pieces at Kirklands for $99 a piece!!!  They came out so great and fit perfect.  We had the art niches as well as the dining and girl's rooms painted.
Here is the dining room that leads to the butler's pantry.  I LOVE the paint color called Meadow Trail(Sherwin Williams) came out so nice.

I am currently working on a pinterest project for the curtains.  We will see how they turn out.

Butler's Pantry
I just found the three wrought iron pieces and I really like the way they turned out.

Breakfast and Case's bathroom in the back.  Stairs to gameroom

Built in desk in front of the girl's rooms

Case's room.  His room is my favorite of all of the room's.  Very cozy!

I am waiting on a wall mural I got off PB teen that has a sillouhette of a football player.  Although I miss his football field wall very much I think the mural will help complete the look!  And eventually we will get him a big boy bed.  Thanks Paige for letting us use the toddler bed until then :)

And yes Case is still in diapers....zero interest in potty training at this point.  Will start soon.....

The girls now have their own room!  This kind of made me sad and Morgan was very hesistant at first but I think is now adjusting.  She got to pick what color she wanted for her room and she chose blue

I just added a book case in her room that is not shown in these picture so her room is now complete

Mallory kept the purple we had just done at the other house.  She needs a night stand and then her room will be finished.

I am not really crazy about how this wall turned out so I might do some rearranging!

I hope you have enjoyed a sneak preview of the new casa.  We are loving everything about it.

Chapter 6, Part 1

If I define the places Lonnie and I have lived by chapters then we are starting Chapter 6.  We have lived in an apartment and duplex in College Station(chapters 1 & 2), our first house in Richwood, TX(chapter 3), a house in Harper's Landing in The Woodlands(chapter 4- you get the idea), our last house in Alden Bridge in The Woodlands(Chapter 5) and now our new home in Magnolia, TX begins Chaper 6.  We have been happy in each home but for one reason or another desired a change.

The last change came about when we both decided life was just getting too much too fast.  Our streets were too busy and the drivers too fast, our yard was on top of our neighbors and too small.  Our house was perfect except that we would outgrow it in the coming years.  All of these things led us to find what I believe we were meant to find, our current neighborhood.

Our house was a spec home but we were lucky enough to get in and choose everything except the stone and cabinets.

It is a D.R. Horton home with four bedrooms(kids all get their own),  3 1/2 baths(girls don't have to share with Case) a study, a dining room and a gameroom upstairs

This post is titled part 1 because part 2 will be pictures of the finished product.  There is so much I love about this house and where we are.  To come home and the kids play non stop in the driveway, the back yard, the street out front that I don't have to worry because we have no traffic is just the best feeling.  We are truly blessed and can't wait to create many wonderful memories and hopefully have Chapter 6 the longest one yet.

Tooth fairy strikes again

In the last month Morgan has lost both her bottom two teeth.  My mom has a knack for pulling them and she was successful in assisting with the removal of both(yuck!)

8 teeth total between the girls = a busy and broke tooth fairy

Fun with Mammy and Papa Marc

The last weekend we were in our house my parents were nice enough to take the kids while I finished packing up.  They took them to Mercer Arboretum(a place my mom goes for her gardening classes) and had a wonderful afternoon together.

Mammy, Mal, Case and Morgan

In all the times my mom has been to Mercer she was unaware of this hidden lake.  Last time she was there someone told her about it so she was eager to show the kids.

They loved feeding the turtles

Papa Marc and the kiddos

I think it was a little warm out!  Case and Morgan are both my red-faced sweaters

I think they enjoyed :)

I was coming to pick up the kids and Case had just fallen asleep in my parents car so my dad didn't want to wake him.  Pretty sure Case slept like this for over an hour while we sat around and talked in their living room!
