Cheese! and the Real Rodeo

I have every intention of blogging about 10 times a day and then of course, never get around to it. Finally I am here filling you in on the last few weeks. I am so excited for Easter coming up(one of my favorite holidays) and just enjoyed a wonderful spring break. Tomorrow Case Patrick will turn 7 weeks! I can't believe it. His latest trick that he has been doing for about 2 weeks now is Smiling :) His mammy is pretty good at getting one out of him so I was able to catch in on camera.

Sorry for the random order of pics, I am still learning. Here is a baby piglet that we saw at the Rodeo. We took the girls during spring break to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo carnival and the indoor facility that had tons of cool things. The birthing center had piglets and calves and they were adorable!

Of course we had to hit up the petting zoo. The girls really enjoyed this.

The Rodeo has the coolest interactive farm where the kids can do all sorts of stuff. Here is Morgan milking a fake cow.

We met our best buds Hudson and Isabella at the rodeo and enjoyed the day.

The Slide!! Last year Mallory went on the slide but Morgan was too little. This year Mallory wanted to go on it again and of course monkey see, monkey do so fearless Morgan headed on up behind big sister Mall. The spec of pink on the left is the girls. I took a picture of them coming down but Morgan decided to do the pencil(laying down) so I only got her feet. Too fun!

I had to take this picture because it reminded me of how I feel these days. Rolling over and nursing Case!!

Road trip, rodeo, playdates, 1 month and pictures!!

What a month this has been!! I promise to do a better job blogging in the months to come but I will give myself a break since we have been adjusting to our bigger family. Yesterday Case turned 1 month. He weighed in at 9 lbs, 13 oz and had grown an inch(22 inches now). So far he has been a very good baby with the exception of some gas :) typical boy I figure! I have cut out dairy to see if that might give him some relief but I am hoping it isn't that because my diet is pretty obsolete without some dairy!

I will recap some events over the past few weeks. Below are some pictures.
Many of you know I took Case to have his newborn pictures taken. You can view them online for one more week if you would like to see them. Go to www.trueexpressionsphotograhy.com and enter website. Click on clients and enter madison as the password. It was so hard to choose which pictures because Case was such an adorable model. Of course the one of him in daddy's football helmet was a keeper.

A few weeks ago we experienced some fun in the snow at the house. The girls enjoyed that. Case and I had our first play date at my friend Sarah's. Sarah has a toddler and one on the way and my friend Kate came with baby Luke who was born the same day as Case. It was nice to get out of the house and visit. Thanks Sarah for the yummy lunch.

Mallory had her rodeo dance that she performed at school last Friday. Below is the video. She is a performer.

We took our first road trip as a family to San Antonio this past weekend. Multiple people thought I was crazy to take Case but as I have said to them, life does go on. Case was the easy one on the trip. The girls were the ones asking the infamous "Are we there yet?" over and over. We went to SA to visit my brother who turned 40 and my sister in law Laurie had a surprise party for him. Mission accomplished. He was surprised and the party was great. We then headed to Austin to see our great friends The Gillenwaters. Tiffany was able to get a baby fix and K and T loved Case. They were so good with him. M & M loved seeing their buddies and thanks to Ryan for a yummy dinner off the grill.

Spring Break is next week and we are looking forward to some fun events with the fam!
