Summertime Fun has begun

I LOVE Summer.  I mean really love it. I love tank tops, flip flops and swimsuits.  I love the glow of a tan, hair in a ponytail and yes would prefer 90+ degrees over freezing my butt off!

We started this summer with Case taking swim lessons with his sitter Mr. B

This was his first day getting used to the water.  Case decided he did not like getting his face wet so we cured that with some goggles.

Case cracked me up.  He was super fast in the water just couldn't quite get his kicks on top of the water.

Practicing his kicks

Jumping off the side

Although Case cried a majority of the lessons I am happy to report he is swimming tons with no tears!  Yay for Mr. B.

This summer was also a first for Mallory as she went to overnight church camp for 5 days! Her BFF Chloe who had moved to OK before school ended got to attend camp with her.

Getting ready to say goodbye.  Mal said she was nervous the first night but that was it.  They got to swim, kayak, zipline, horseback ride, archery, BB guns, etc.  She had the best time and pretty sure this will be a summer tradition.

While Mal and Chloe were gone, Morgan and Chloe's little sis Cami went to my volleyball camp.

Morgan also tried out softball camp and really liked it.  We will let her try it out this year.

These were just a few random pics from M & Ms field days before school got out.

Another one bites the dust

It is hard to believe how quickly this year came and went.  Morgan graduated kinder, Mallory finished 2nd grade and Case ended his time at our long time sitters Mr. B and Mrs. Stacy.  I am so thankful for their teachers because they truly made my children feel loved and cared for every day.

Getting ready for Morgan's graduation program which was soooo cute.

Morgan and her principal Mrs. Garrison.  If you are wondering why it is just the two of them well when Morgan actually crossed the stage a guy stood up right in front of me as I took the picture and ruined the shot.  My friend that I work with was so upset for me she grabbed the principal after the program who kindly obliged to reshoot the pic!!

Here are the girls on the last day of school and below was their first day.

Ms. Michelle(Morgan's speech teacher) and Morgan.  We LOVE Ms. Michelle!!!!!!

Morgan and her teacher Mrs. Dotson. Such a beautiful person inside and out

Mrs. Garrison and the girls

Mallory and her awesome teacher Mrs. Starnes- seriously the girls had the BEST teachers this year

Happy Birthday Honey!

We celebrated Lonnie's 34th birthday this past weekend and what a great weekend it turned out to be.  We started the celebrating on Friday with a family dinner at Pappasittos. I am lucky in the fact that all of Lonnie's favorite places to eat are also mine so it was like my birthday too :)

Of course he was super embarrassed when I had them sing to him but not so sad when he got to eat the chocolate brownie with ice cream!

Pretty sure the kids enjoyed it too.

I have a confession: I am not the best gift giver when it comes to birthdays.  I have grand ideas in my head but they never seem to amount to anything.  Lonnie likes to tease me that when it is his birthday I get myself gifts too(only sometimes!) so this year I decided to throw him a party.

I chose a "Fiesta" theme and served a taco bar along with chips, dips, cookie cake, etc.

Pretty sure I cooked about 7 lbs of taco meat but this was super easy and people could make soft tacos, crispy tacos, double decker tacos or nachos.  YUM!

And what party would be complete without a bounce house? Lol.  Since most of our friends have kids we wanted to include them.  Luckily some of our BFFs own this waterslide bouncer and literally entertained the children for about 8 hours!

This is what happens when you play on the bouncer for 8 hours!

For the adults we set up washers and corn holl.  It kept the fellas entertained for hours :)

 Still playing into the night.

The turnout for the party was great.  Some of Lonnie's current staff made the long drive from Clear Brook to hang out.  Our BFFs from College Station came to the party, our family(Lonnie's parents and brother/sister n law pictured below) and other friends- I think he felt loved :)

My Family: Dad, nephew, sister, mom and niece

I am so blessed that Lonnie is friends with all of my good friend's hubbies so they came to the party too!

And this is the infamous "A".  This is the love of Case's life!  He told her dad at the party that she was his girlfriend.  SOOOO cute and just like Lonnie, choosing an older woman.

Don't tell Ms. A but she might have some competition!  This is Ms. K and the three of them will all be in childcare together next year.  Could be some cat fights, haha.

The McKinneys stayed over after the party and we got some fun play time in before they had to leave.

Happy Birthday Honey.  I hope this kicks off what will be an amazing year.  Love you, more.
