Yesterday the girls got to come see me in the hospital and love on their new baby brother. They were so cute with him. Both of them kept "petting" his head and giving him kisses and cuddles. Case doesn't realize how lucky he is to have two big sisters to love all over him. Below are some pictures and a video. Luckily the hospital has had wifi so I have been able to do this on my laptop. I am sure once I get home my posts will be few and far between. Thank you to everyone who has come to visit- if we haven't seen you yet, Case can't wait to meet you all.

Case Patrick- born 2/9/10 9lbs, 1 oz, 21 inches long
Here are some more pictures. The girls were able to come meet him and they weren't quite sure what to think. They were a little distracted by me being in a bed hooked up to all sorts of stuff. They are coming up again today so it should be a little better since I am up and moving.
Lucky #9?
A lot of people would call 7 a lucky number but for me this week I would have bet on 9. I had planned a pedicure for today, a highlight appt for tomorrow and was counting down the days until my scheduled c-section on next Friday, the 19th. I was a little off. This was my 39th week of my pregnancy and on Tuesday, February 9th Case Patrick Madison decided he was ready to join our family, coming out a whopping 9 pounds, 1 ounce and 21 inches long.
I got to school Tuesday morning and started having contractions. I wasn't quite sure if that is what they were since they felt a little different than my ones with the girls. After timing them for most of the morning I figured it was the real thing and called my dr. I went in and got checked and was not dilated at all so she sent me home to eat, rest and see if any change. No change except that they came more often. So after trying to help the girls with their Valentine's goodies for class- (another thing I had planned to finish this week) I called the doc again and she sent me to labor and delivery. By then my contractions were 4 minutes a part and I was dilated to a one which is nothing but since I was having a c-section we could finally proceed. All went well until they tried to get the little or should I say big booger out. Apparently he was quite cozy because even though it was a c-section, his head was huge as was his body and he wasn't budging. I started to panic a bit because I kept hearing a pop(later finding out was the vacuum) and after about 5 unsuccessful tries, the anesthesiologist asked if he could help and reached over my sheet and was pushing below my rib cage. At this point I think there were at least 4 people trying to assist and finally...out he came!

Future Highstepper
If you are from The Woodlands then you know what a Highstepper is. If not, it is our dance team at the high school and they are AWESOME. Today Mallory got to participate in the Highstepper clinic and the video is the dance they learned. She had so much fun and was too cute. Morgan can't wait to join her next year!

What a difference 9 months can make
Today I am 38 weeks pregnant! Only two weeks to go. I was thinking how amazing the transformation your body makes when you are pregnant. It seems to change in ways that you can't even imagine. Take for instance the following pictures. The first one was this summer at the beach when I was first pregnant and the last ones are from yesterday. HOLY COW!! I don't think my skin can stretch any more. I had my appt yesterday and everything went really well. Case is still very active and according to my Dr., has a huge head. I guess I am glad to be having a C-section :) I am not dialted at all so I am assuming he is cozy and in it for the long haul. I am scheduled to deliver him on Friday, February 19th unless he decides to come before then. I will keep everyone posted! Have a great Super Bowl weekend
